RCW 60

Description

RCW-60 is a region of ionized hydrogen in Centaurus known as object 60 in the Rodgers-Campbell-Whiteoak catalog.

Just when you think you have found a dark part of the sky, a few 600 sec subframes (that's 10 minutes of open shutter !!) show that there is always something out there.

Image captured and processed by Arc Fortnight using a Celestron 9.25 Edge HD telescope, ZWO 6200MM camera, Avalon M-Uno mount, Antlia 4.5Nm narrowband filters from my full moon soaked soaked narrow slot of a backyard in Tweed Heads, Gold Coast, Australia.
