Large Magellenic Cloud

A wide field image of the Large Magellenic Cloud showing some of the nebulae in the north of the LMC.

This is a narrowband image, where light from ionised Hydrogen, Sulphur and Oxygen atoms in these clouds are mapped into the Red, Green and Blue visible light channels.
