Fighting Dragons of Ara

Dark shapes with bright edges winging their way through dusty NGC 6188 are tens of light-years long. The emission nebula is found near the edge of an otherwise dark large molecular cloud in the southern constellation Ara, about 4,000 light-years away. Another experiment with 600 sec subframes (that's 10 minutes of open shutter !!) taken on a C9.25 Edge telescope, ZWO6200MM camera cooled to -10c, Avalon M-Uno mount with Antlia 4.5Nm narrowband filters from light washed Tweed Heads. Image captured, aligned, integrated and colour mapped by Arc Fortnight.
